For film buffs everywhere.

She was shocked at how cheap the cinema prices were...

The way the week has went weather wise; it looks like the weekend it going to be pretty darn good as well. However, if the sun is just that little bit too hot for you, or you are already sunburned or even suffer from hay fever, then the macrobert has some excellent films on this weekend.

The Blind Side has had a lot of hype surround it since Sandra Bullock won her Best Actress Oscar for her role in March. She plays home decorator home decorator Leigh Anne Tuohy, who stuns her family and community when she invites homeless black teen Big Mike (Aaron) to live in her home. As Leigh Anne strives to help Big Mike academically, she delves into his traumatic upbringing and discovers that the youngster shows promise as an American football player. The film is based on a true story and while Bullock has received mixed reviews for her performance, many would agree it is a refreshing change to see her move away from her usual comedic roles.

We also have the classic film, Psycho, for all you old-fashioned horror fans. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock 50 years ago, Psycho was the original great horror movie and ultimate spine tingler. This film is also the reason why most people lock their bathroom door when taking a shower. Well, that and the reason we don’t want people seeing our bums that is! Janet Leigh plays a young woman who steals $40,000 from her employer’s client. Looking to rest for the night she arrives at a strange motel. There she encounters Norman Bates, a man seemingly controlled by his ever dominant mother. To relax her she decides to take a shower… Oh come on! You know how it goes!

So if you fancy some goosebumps over this rather hot weekend or to see an Oscar winning film then phone 01786 466666 for more information.
