Babel – Stan Won’t Dance

He found it quicker flying to work...

He found flying a lot quicker than walking!

It is just over a fortnight until Babel by Stan Wont Dance arrives at macrobert, and it looks as though the show is going to be fantastic.

Stan Won’t Dance exploded onto the scene in 2003 with their new form of physical theatre. The company website informs that they were founded as a result of a shared vision of:

“expanding the boundaries of physical theatre, new writing and visual imagery by creating theatre pieces that fully integrate movement, design, music and text”

Stan Wont Dance are provocative, and Babel is set to be their most hard-hitting piece to date. It chalenges British society, looking at  political correctness, probing terrorism, capitalisation, commercialism, and knife crime, in an engaging and intelligent manner.

“Babel is an explosive triumph of dance theatre that leaves the audience reeling with the uncomfortable truths of modern Britain. If news reports could be delivered in this style, then perhaps we would all sit up, take notice, and for once feel compelled to engage.” (Wilkinson, The Stage)
